Terms

Last updated: 2026.07.30

Your paintings are yours. We claim nothing over anything you make with PaintBlock.

The licence

PaintBlock is distributed through the App Store, and your use of it is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Buying the app gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it on the devices tied to your Apple Account. These terms sit alongside that agreement; where they conflict, Apple's wins.

Your work

Everything you draw is yours, commercially and otherwise. The app stores your work only on your device and transmits nothing, so there is no copy for us to claim rights over even if we wanted one.

What we don't promise

PaintBlock is provided as-is. It is made with care and tested, but no software is free of defects, and the app is not a backup system — it keeps your paintings in its own storage on one device. Export anything you would be upset to lose. We are not liable for lost work, whether from a bug, a deleted app, a failed device, or an OS update.

Refunds

Handled entirely by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.

Changes

Features may be added, changed or removed between versions. Material changes to these terms will be dated on this page.

The old browser version

An earlier browser-based version of PaintBlock ran at this domain with accounts and paid features. It has been retired and its terms no longer apply to anything. This page covers the iPad and Mac apps only.
