Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026.07.30

PaintBlock collects nothing. The app contains no networking code, so there is no mechanism by which it could send your data anywhere.

This policy covers PaintBlock for iPad and macOS, published by PaintBlock. It is short because there is very little to describe.

What we collect

Nothing. Specifically:

  • No account. There is no sign-in, no email address, no user profile.
  • No analytics. No usage tracking, no crash reporting SDK, no advertising identifiers.
  • No third-party SDKs of any kind are bundled in the app.
  • No network access. The app makes no network requests, because it contains no code capable of making one.

Where your work is stored

Your paintings, brush presets, custom tips and settings are written only to the app's own storage on your device. They are never uploaded. Deleting the app deletes them, so export anything you want to keep first.

When you export or import a .paintblock file, the system file picker decides where it goes — that is your choice and your file. We never see it.

Purchases

PaintBlock is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the transaction; we receive only aggregate sales reports and never see your name, card details or address. Apple's own privacy policy governs that purchase.

Children

The app is safe for any age: it collects nothing, shows no ads, and has no social features, chat, or links out to the web.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of PaintBlock ever adds a feature that needs data — cloud sync, for example — this page will be updated before that version ships, and the feature will be opt-in.

A note on the old browser version

An earlier browser-based version of PaintBlock at this domain did have accounts and paid features. It has been retired. This policy describes the iPad and Mac apps only.
